What can we work on together?

I believe that being a good neighbor is the first step to finding community solutions.

Neighborhood Services keep residents safe and satisfied. They also support the community’s use of Centralville’s many parks and green spaces, and ensure that local businesses can attract customers. Together we can ensure that city services are efficient, effective and routine.

Economic Development should focus on keeping good jobs here in Lowell, so that we can live and work in our community. The City invested in business development to help downtown’s small businesses survive the pandemic. Bringing that active support to the Aiken Street and Bridge Street corridors will build on our neighborhood’s easy access from downtown, UMass-Lowell, and Dracut.

Education must be equitable across our district. Each school is four walls with the future inside. As a City Councilor, I will ensure that school buildings are in the best condition possible to create the best environment for teachers to educate and students to learn.

Recreation can go beyond organized sports leagues. Our neighborhood has a wealth of parks, green space, and playing fields. We can do more to make sure that our recreational spaces are inviting and safe for everyday use, as well as team sports. Learn more about specific ideas.

Public Safety improves when people have positive opportunities. We need to think bigger and to reimagine public safety through prevention, not just through crisis-response. We must invest in opportunities and services that improve safety for all of our neighbors. Learn more about speeding solutions.

Centralville’s many cultures are a resource for our neighborhood and our city. Our neighborhood’s experience, problem-solving, and cultural relevance makes us an asset in citywide solutions for all residents. We know that Diversity, Equity and Inclusion takes more than a task force. It’s a way of life.
